How it works

Enter a date of birth and, optionally, the date you want the age measured on. The result counts whole years first, then whole months, then the leftover days.

Age = whole years, then whole months, then remaining days from birth date to target date

Example: Someone born on 14 May 1990 is 36 years, 3 months and 18 days old on 1 September 2026.

Questions people ask

How is age counted in years, months and days?

The same way people say it: full years first, then full months since the last birthday, then the days left over. Month lengths are handled correctly.

Does it handle leap years?

Yes. Total days are counted from the real calendar, so 29 February and leap years are included automatically.

Can I work out an age on a future date?

Yes — change the second date to any date after the birth date, for example to check how old someone will be at a wedding or a deadline.
